Nose: Peat without smoke is the nearest description of this Ardbeg, but not only. There is a vast of cough medicine without sweetness as well in it. Plenty of herbs… but also fustily. Not an everybodys darling. For sure is that good medicine and that is what you get. A side note of glue is also there. And yes rotten wood in autumn is exactly the best description I was looking after.
Palate: On the tounge you get most of sweetness and after 10 seconds it gets hot.
Finish: Is cooled down peat that starts warming the chest gently after 5 to 6 seconds. The tongue is dazed and stays coated.
