The peat level mentioned on the bottle is 40 ppm. No artificial color is added as well it has been non-chill filtered
Lets start this tasting tripple with the lowest abv and the oldest age, as this is commonly best advice to do.
I feel since days the first time a clean nose all day.
Nose: Immediately a little peat, to to heavy just. It has the smell of a old wooden chest used on a pirate ship.
Palate: Sweet on the tongue and a punch of alcohol
Finish: There is a lot peat coming back, peatlovers would say, yes quite easy.
With a teaspoon of water added
Nose: A teanote is comming up, somewhat fresh herbal notes are there, not much peat anymore
Palate: Down to earth with sweet lingering notes
Finish: The wood is a little there, peat has quite gone.
A very nice balanced peated Whisky
